AM DESIGN: Resort Hotel Design under the barn built against the mountain

Surrounded by mountains, shrouded in clouds, the environment is quiet. The resort hotel under the barn is designed to be full of wild interests of nature. The resort hotel design that allows the floors of the public space to be thoroughly integrated into the valley scenery creates an unobstructed vision for people, so that people can feel comfortable and quiet, and thoroughly indulge in the beautiful scenery.

                                 

Rooted in the ground, the resort has an amazing landscape: the architectural design of the resort achieves its own expansion by embedding the terrain, and is committed to bringing guests spectacular scenery and opportunities to integrate into the nature.

                                               

The resort is designed to be located near the village of South Tyrol, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the mountains. One of the tasks of the hotel architectural design is to transform an existing traditional restaurant of the hotel into a reception space, while retaining the charming scenery and increasing the level of vision.

The resort is located on the hillside, overlooking the surrounding virgin forest and grassland. In this project, the owner hopes to coordinate the reception space with the hotel's high-quality accommodation environment while completing the transformation of the reception space, and highlight the uniqueness of the whole site through the new hotel space design.

Before entering the new hotel space, guests need to pass through an old barn building, which is also a very interesting point in the project. The traditional appearance of the barn has been preserved through careful restoration work, and the internal hotel space has been completely transformed into an open space including the hotel reception, lounge and breakfast restaurant.

The large area of windows provides sufficient lighting for the interior of the barn. They are seamlessly connected under the large wooden truss, which is rebuilt according to the local traditional architecture, in order to retrieve the unique style of the South Tyrol farm. In the center of the barn is a large-scale column fireplace, which creates a visual core for the space and makes other functions unfold around it.

Wooden shutters can alleviate the solar radiation at the hottest time of the day and give aesthetic feeling to the hotel architecture. There is a wide terrace outside the building, from which guests can enjoy the scenery of the valley.

The new hotel building is located on two floors underground, which adapts to the natural slope of the land. In order to allow guests to enjoy the natural scenery without interference, the sense of volume of the building is almost completely eliminated. The hotel has 17 new rooms and a health center with sauna and leisure area. You can walk down the stairs from the barn to the floor where the guest room is located. The rooms on each floor are the same - both in function and size to the satisfaction of the guests.

The design of hotel architecture at all levels, including the design of hotel interior decoration and hotel furniture, and even extremely small details, such as flower patterns in many spaces such as lounge and health center. "The interior design is handled very carefully. We decided to use natural materials and plants to create a relaxed atmosphere. The dark tone sessile oak is matched with coarse fiber fabrics such as linen and cotton, and the customized design is adopted to achieve the maximum comfort and personalized solution."
