Yunjian Resort Hotel Design

Yibenzuo Architectural Design Studio recently completed the renovation design of Yixing Lake . The original house is located not far from the bamboo sea view area. Backed by the bamboo hills, the brook gurgled, but the surroundings were mixed with unrecognizable modern houses. When it was built many years ago, in order to be able to build a larger area, the house has a very "special" aspect ratio, plus the owner has already done a large-scale addition. Therefore, how to make this house to be transformed into a gorgeous transformation is a small expectation in the owner's heart and has also become a challenge to the architect.

The architectural team broke the plane of the hotel, added sloped balconies, and redesigned the facade. The architect chose bamboo produced locally in Zhuhai and used the bamboo grille to “turn the entire façade to zero”, weakening the pressure of the building on the compact front yard and responding to the human scale. Through the extension of the side facade wall, a complete wall is cut out and emphasized. It is essential to the structure of the back facade of the building. The outer edges of the original building’s staggered teeth are divided and simplified by the cut wall.
