In the design of Resort Hotel, the type of historical palace extracted from the typical Maya living space is used. This system frees the wall from its structural role, allowing the interior to remain open from all directions and surrounded by water flowing from the flooded courtyard. The tranquil waterscape defines the project in the atmosphere, reminiscent of the iconic mangrove swamp covering Holbox island. The resort allows guests to rest under the palapa made of solid and aromatic cedar wood to experience its exposed structure and breezy interior space.

The design inspiration of this resort comes from the ancient Mayan architecture. The biggest feature is that it surrounds a shallow triangular swimming pool, which makes people look like a hotel standing on the water and feel the beauty of the combination of nature and modernity.

                                              

The resort has 12 rooms, each with a unique thatched roof. The tone of the resort design echoes with the wooden door made of natural plates, which has the feeling of a rural thatched house.
