AM DESIGN: Renovation Design of resort hotel integrating nature and humanity

In the tranquil poetry, nature and humanity blend like water emulsion. The architectural design of the transformed resort hotel is like a painting with appropriate intensity, which makes people linger and forget to return. The renovation design of the resort hotel is the essence of creation, which includes the beauty of nature in human wisdom and innovation, and returns to the truth of nature.

                                              

The horse farm area of libika is one of the most remarkable natural and cultural relics in Slovenia. The horse farm was built in 1580 - the royal family of Hapsburg decided to raise horses in their own territory. As an important strategic commodity at that time, the architectural renovation design of the resort is of cross historical significance.

                                        

The cultural landscape of libika is self-contained. The natural environment of Resort Hotel transformation and design has undergone redevelopment, and has been rooted in the tradition of pure breeding horses for centuries. It was not until the 1970s that the uniqueness of the libika Racecourse attracted the interest of tourists from all over the world, which led to the construction of large accommodation buildings.

The renovation design of the resort is the largest building in the architectural design of libika Hotel, and it is also the main contact point between tourists and the racecourse environment. Its "aggressive" original appearance originates from the architectural elements of a specific period, which forms a strong and even disturbing contrast with the smooth path that tourists pass through when entering the whole hotel complex. The conspicuous white fence rises and falls on the tree lined path. However, due to the existence of parking lots and hotel buildings, the elegant picture of white horses walking in the green space has to "stop abruptly".

                                                     

                                 

The intervention plan proposed by the project suggests that all additional architectural elements of the hotel facade should be clear, and the overall expression of the building should be unified by establishing a light-weight load-bearing structure composed of balconies. The entire hotel architectural design and the swimming pool area are covered in this structural "membrane", creating a transition area between the building and the landscape. The interaction of light and shadow breaks the single volume of the building. When the climbing green plants in the plan grow up, it will weaken the entity of the hotel building to the greatest extent and give it a unique and identifiable feature.

In view of the huge volume of the renovation design of the resort hotel, the project focuses on how to expand the existing accommodation capacity. All existing service facilities and other unused facilities are reused as new hotel space, so the increase in capacity is mainly reflected in the interior of the building rather than the exterior.

The renovation design of the renovated Resort Hotel, the interior space design and the swimming pool area show a modern interpretation of the stables element: the public space is designed to be extremely flexible, and the function can be adjusted through the folding partition according to the specific needs. The original concrete structure inside the building is still visible. It has now become a space framework with appropriate dimensions, ensuring a warm and comfortable experience for the hotel with minimal intervention.

In order to better connect the building and cultural landscape, the parking lot adjacent to the building has been transformed into a park to make room for expanding the roofed terrace outside the building.
