Located on bengalua island in Mozambique, East Africa, the hotel is the first hotel project created by local entrepreneurs. It has cooperated with local weavers, Thatchers, carpenters and textile craftsmen in the construction of the project. It is worth noting that 80% of construction workers come from Benguela itself, half of whom are women.

                       

                              

Based on the local architectural style of Mozambique, modern design language is adopted for planning. Instead of using large mechanical equipment such as cranes, only a few modern equipment such as 3D printers are used. At the same time, use local natural materials instead of concrete, which has a certain impact on the environment.

It consists of 22 Suites in 12 thatched villas. The wooden structures of the whole site are thatched houses, which are covered in various styles according to the local local style. Guest houses are shaped like long villas, covered with patterned roofs, echoing the shape of waves.

             

                        

Inside, there are mottled plaster walls and wooden floors covered with large carpets. Locally made modern furniture is mixed with handicrafts and handicrafts from all over Africa, adding diversity to the interior.

It is operated by 220 employees and 90% of the operation team is from Africa. The seven restaurants and bars of the hotel also work together to create pure natural food, adopt a zero waste policy, and rely on farmers and food suppliers to supply traditional delicacies made of fresh seafood and agricultural products.

In addition to the hotel, a marine protection science research center has been established here. Their parallel operation has created a new symbiotic business model, that is, for-profit hotels directly contribute to non-profit marine science and research. Guests can also participate in research through activities such as research boat tours, which are used to mark and monitor local shark populations.
