Qiye Habitat is located in Xixi, Hangzhou. It was originally an imitation European-style residential building that has been idle for ten years. It was designed as a comprehensive space for guests to stay, live, enjoy tea and enjoy the scenery. After many interpretations of the site, Deviation Design Studio simplified everything from a functional point of view, starting from a pure state and intervening in the space within the existing architectural boundaries to break the established state. From the inside out, by reorganizing the size, height, and depth of the space, the current state is presented. The original building was equidistantly arranged with four floors of 2.8 meters above the ground, distributed on the axis, removed the first half of the first and second floors of the space for emptying, the stairs moved sideways, and re-planned the relationship between the lines of the space. The functions such as check-in, hospitality, and dining are carried out in sequence, suspending the white squares in the air, simplifying the original complicated facade relationship, while retaining the concrete beams at the time of dismantling, showing the traces of construction in the existing space. The check-in function is arranged on the second, third, and fourth floors.
